Handmade oval basket in rattan | 3 sizes
A unique, handmade oval rattan basket from Vietnam. The basket comes in three sizes and works for all sorts of things – storing cushions, blankets and toys, as a newspaper or firewood basket, for laundry, or as a planter for a large green plant. Because the baskets are woven by hand, no two are exactly alike, and small differences in weave and colour are part of the craft.
All three sizes have woven-in handles, so the basket is easy to move, and they nest inside one another when not in use. The oval shape means it sits neatly against a wall or beside the sofa, where a round basket takes up more room.

Care | Wipe the basket with a lightly damp cloth and let it dry completely. Do not soak it, and keep it away from direct heat, which can make the weave dry and brittle.

Which size should I choose?
The large one (L53 cm) holds blankets and big cushions. The medium (L48 cm) suits newspapers, toys or knitting. The small one (L42 cm) is good on a shelf or in the hallway.
Can the basket stay out in the living room?
Yes. It is made to be on display and works just as well beside the sofa as under a table or in the bedroom.
Can it be used as a planter?
Yes, with a watertight pot or bowl inside so the rattan does not get wet.
Are the baskets identical?
No. They are handwoven in Vietnam, so the weave, colour tone and measurements vary slightly from basket to basket.
