Sweden (GLS)

5.3 Carriers

We usually ship with GLS in Denmark, and with GLS or FedEx abroad, depending on the destination.

5.4 Uncollected or Refused Packages

If you refuse delivery or fail to collect the package from a parcel shop, you will be charged a fee of DKK 49 to cover the costs we are charged by GLS. For shipments outside Denmark, other or higher fees may apply depending on the carrier.

If the package needs to be resent within Denmark, you will also be responsible for the shipping cost (DKK 49). Reshipping can be paid via the link provided on our website.

Please note: Refusal of delivery or failure to collect a package is not considered use of the right of withdrawal. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must follow the return procedure described in section 9.

5.5 Customs and Import Duties

When ordering from outside the EU, your package may be subject to local taxes and customs duties, which you are responsible for paying. You are considered the importer and are responsible for all local taxes, duties, and customs clearance fees. Customs clearance may delay delivery; please contact the carrier as soon as possible if your package is held.

6. Discounts and Promotions

Discount codes cannot be combined with other discounts or sale items.
Discount codes are valid only during the specified period and cannot be applied to previous or future orders outside the period.

Newsletter discount does not apply to the following brands: Casa Cubista, Christina Iversen Studio, Maison Bengal, and Oliver & Rose (subject to change).

7. Incorrect Delivery

We always do our best to ensure you receive exactly what you ordered. If an error should occur, we sincerely apologize.

If the item you received does not match your order, please contact us as soon as possible – and no later than 48 hours after receipt – at info@studiohafnia.dk. Please attach photos of both the item and the packaging so we can find a quick solution.

8. Transport Damage

All items are insured during transport with GLS, and we therefore ask you to check the contents of the package immediately upon receipt.

If you discover damage to the package or item at delivery, you must notify us immediately – and no later than 48 hours – at info@studiohafnia.dk with the required photo documentation. This is a requirement from GLS, and if the deadline is exceeded, we cannot file a claim.

If the package has visible dents, holes, or other clear damage, we recommend refusing receipt with GLS.

To report transport damage, you must:

  • Send photos of all outer sides of the package (the GLS label must be visible in at least one photo)

  • Send photos of all internal packaging/protection and the damaged items

  • Keep all packaging until the case is closed

Note: Missing photo documentation or exceeding the deadline means we cannot process the claim, and GLS will not pay compensation.

9. Right of Withdrawal

9.1 Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Danish law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you receive the item.

Purchases made via the webshop are also covered by the right of withdrawal when choosing local pickup in our showroom.

NOTE: The 14-day right of withdrawal DOES NOT apply to made-to-order goods – i.e., items that are produced or procured specifically for you upon order (for example, furniture that is only put into production or ordered from the supplier after your order is placed).

If you wish to withdraw, you must notify us before the deadline – either via our return portal (only available for returns within Denmark) or by sending an e-mail to info@studiohafnia.dk with your order number.

Note: You cannot exercise the right of withdrawal by refusing delivery or failing to collect the package.

The requirements for the condition of the item upon return are set out in section 9.3, “Condition of the item and return requirements.”

Purchases in our showroom (Frederiksberg)
Purchases made directly in our physical showroom in Frederiksberg are not covered by the right of withdrawal. We therefore do not offer refunds.

However, you may receive a store credit, provided that the item is returned in the same condition as at the time of purchase and within 14 days from the date of purchase.

The store credit is valid for 24 months from the date of issue and can be used both in our showroom and on the webshop.

9.2 Gift Purchases

If you are buying an item as a gift and it will be given after the 14-day period has expired, we can in some cases offer an extended return period. Please contact us before purchase to arrange this, and note the agreement in the comment field when completing your order.

9.3 Condition of Returned Items

To accept a return and issue a refund, the item must be in the same condition as when you received it:

  • Unused and without signs of wear

  • Original packaging, labels, and tags intact and attached

  • Packaging is considered part of the product and essential for resale as new

If the item is used, damaged, or missing packaging, we may deduct an amount corresponding to the reduction in value.

9.4 How to Return

You can return an item by sending an email to info@studiohafnia.dk with your name, order number, and information about which items you wish to return. Please send the item no later than 14 days after you have notified us of your return. We only accept return shipments that have been dispatched within this deadline.

Please pack the item securely in the original packaging with additional protective material for transport. Enclose a copy of the order confirmation or a note with the order number.

Return address:

DIGITALIS Logistic
Att. Studio Hafnia
Rugvænget 22
DK-8500 Grenaa

It is important that you clearly mark the package with Studio Hafnia and the order number, as we use an external warehouse.

Items must be shipped directly to the above address. We do not accept returns sent COD, to parcel shops, pickup points, post offices, or similar, and items cannot be delivered in person.

Please note: DAO does not deliver to business addresses. Parcels delivered to parcel shops will not be collected and will be returned to the sender at their own expense.

9.5 Return Costs

You are responsible for paying return shipping and for the package until we receive it.

We recommend tracked and insured shipping, and very secure packaging. We cannot compensate for returns lost or damaged in transit.

9.6 Uncollected or Refused Packages

If you refuse delivery or fail to collect the package, you will be charged a fee of DKK 49 to cover the costs we are charged by GLS. For shipments outside Denmark, other or higher fees may apply depending on the carrier.

If the package needs to be resent within Denmark, you will be responsible for the shipping cost (DKK 49). Payment for reshipping can be made via the link on our website.

9.7 Refunds

When we receive your return, we will process it as quickly as possible. If the item meets the return requirements, we will refund the purchase amount to the same payment method used for the order – unless you prefer a store credit.

We aim to process refunds within 3-5 business days after receiving the return at our warehouse. Please note that your bank or card issuer may take longer to complete the transfer.

If the returned item does not meet our requirements, we reserve the right to refuse or reduce the refund.

9.8 Gift Cards and Store Credits

Gift cards and store credits from Studio Hafnia can be used as payment in the webshop. They cannot be exchanged for cash – neither fully nor partially – and are non-refundable if unused.

In accordance with Danish law, there is no right of withdrawal on gift cards or store credits once purchased.

We recommend using gift cards and store credits before the expiry date, which is always clearly stated at issue.

9.9 Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item, you can easily do so via our return portal (only available in Denmark). Register the return and note which item you would like instead. We will send the new item once we have received and approved the return.

10. Complaints

If you purchase an item from Studio Hafnia that turns out to be defective, Danish Sale of Goods Act rules apply. Depending on the situation, you may have the item repaired, replaced, refunded, or receive a price reduction.

The complaint must be justified, and the defect must not be due to misuse, incorrect storage, or other damaging behavior.

You must complain within a “reasonable time” after discovering the defect. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible and no later than 2 months after discovery. The right to complain expires 24 months after receipt of the item.

To file a complaint, send an e-mail to info@studiohafnia.dk with:

  • Your order number

  • A detailed description of the defect

  • Photos clearly showing the defect

If the complaint is justified, we will cover reasonable shipping costs. If not justified, you pay the return costs and any reshipping fees.

The item must always be packed securely. We recommend obtaining a shipping receipt, as you are responsible until we receive it.

Return address:

DIGITALIS Logistic
Att. Studio Hafnia
Rugvænget 22
DK-8500 Grenaa

Items must be shipped directly to this address. We do not accept returns sent COD, to parcel shops, pickup points, post offices, or similar. DAO does not deliver to business addresses but redirects to parcel shops, which we do not collect from.
