Refund policy
1. Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you receive the goods, in accordance with Danish consumer law.
Purchases made via the webshop are also covered by the right of withdrawal when choosing local pickup in our showroom.
NOTE: The 14-day right of withdrawal DOES NOT apply to made-to-order goods – i.e., items that are produced or procured specifically for you upon order (for example, furniture that is only put into production or ordered from the supplier after your order is placed).
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly notify us before the deadline by sending an email to info@studiohafnia.dk with your order number.
Please note: You cannot exercise your right of withdrawal by refusing to accept the parcel or by failing to collect it from a parcel shop.
The requirements for the condition of the item upon return are set out in section 4, “Condition of the item and return requirements.”
Purchases in our showroom (Frederiksberg)
Purchases made directly in our physical showroom in Frederiksberg are not covered by the right of withdrawal. We therefore do not offer refunds.
You do, however, have the option to exchange the item for another product or receive a store credit, provided that the item is returned in the same condition as at the time of purchase and within 14 days from the date of purchase.
The store credit is valid for 24 months from the date of issue and can be used both in our showroom and on the webshop.
2. Exchange for another item or store credit
If you wish to exchange an item for another, you can do so via our return portal.
Please note: Our return portal currently only works for returns from Denmark. If you are returning from outside Denmark, please contact us directly at info@studiohafnia.dk, and we will guide you through the exchange process.
In the return portal, you register which item you are sending back and which item you would like instead – or whether you prefer to receive a store credit.
We will send the new item as soon as we have received and approved the returned item.
If you choose a store credit, it will be issued electronically and sent to the email address associated with the order.
3. Gift purchases
If you are purchasing an item as a gift and the gift will only be given after the 14-day withdrawal period has expired, we may in some cases offer an extended return period. Please contact us before making your purchase to arrange this, and note the agreement in the comments field when placing your order.
4. Condition of the item and return requirements
In order for us to accept your return and issue a refund, the item must be in the same condition as when you received it:
- Unused and without signs of wear.
- Original packaging, labels, and tags must be intact and attached.
- The packaging is considered part of the product and is essential for us to be able to resell the item as new.
If the item has been used, damaged, is missing packaging, or has not been packed properly, we reserve the right to make a deduction corresponding to the reduction in value – or, in some cases, to refuse the return entirely.
5. How to return an item
You can return an item by sending an email to info@studiohafnia.dk with your name, order number, and information about which items you wish to return.
Please send the item no later than 14 days after you have notified us of your return. We only accept return shipments that have been dispatched within this deadline.
Please pack the item securely in the original packaging with additional protective material for transport. Enclose a copy of the order confirmation or a note with the order number.

It is important that you clearly indicate on the parcel that it is addressed to Studio Hafnia, as well as the relevant order number and name, as we use an external warehouse.
Items must be sent directly to the above return address and cannot be sent cash-on-delivery, to a parcel shop, pick-up point, post office, or similar – and parcels cannot simply be dropped off at the address.
Please note: DAO does not deliver to business addresses. It is your responsibility to ensure that the parcel is delivered correctly. Returned items delivered to a parcel shop will not be collected by Studio Hafnia and will be sent back to the customer at the customer’s expense.
6. Return costs
You are responsible for the shipping costs when returning an item, and you bear the risk for the parcel until we have received it.
We recommend using tracked and insured shipping and packing the item very carefully. We cannot compensate for returned parcels that are damaged or lost during return transport.
7. Uncollected or refused parcels
If you refuse to accept the parcel or fail to collect it from a parcel shop, you will be charged a fee of 49 DKK to cover the costs incurred by GLS.
If the parcel needs to be resent within Denmark, you must cover the new shipping cost (49 DKK). You can pay for a new shipment via this link. If you are located outside Denmark, please contact us at info@studiohafnia.dk, and we will provide you with the relevant shipping cost and instructions for reshipment.
Please note: Refusing delivery or failing to collect a parcel is not considered an exercise of the right of withdrawal. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must follow the return procedure described above.
8. Refunds
Once we have received your returned item, we will process it as quickly as possible. If the item meets our return requirements, we will refund the purchase amount to the same payment method used for the purchase – unless you request a store credit instead.
We aim to process refunds within 3–5 business days after the item has been received at our warehouse. Please note that your bank or card issuer may require additional time to complete the transfer.
To help us process your return quickly, we recommend that you clearly write your order number on or inside the parcel.
If the returned items do not meet our return requirements, we reserve the right to reject or reduce the refund.
9. Gift cards and store credits
Studio Hafnia gift cards and store credits can be used as payment in the webshop. They cannot be exchanged for cash – either fully or partially – and are not refundable if unused.
In accordance with Danish law, there is no right of withdrawal for gift cards or store credits once the purchase has been completed.
We recommend using gift cards and store credits before the expiration date, which will always be clearly stated when issued.
