About Verk

Verk is a Swedish design brand founded by Simon Anund and Jacop Merlini. The company is built on an uncompromising approach to materials and production: every piece of furniture is made in Sweden, using only Swedish raw materials such as solid wood, wool, leather and local surface treatments. The result is furniture with complete traceability and a quality that can be felt in every detail.

A counterpoint to greenwashing and fast trends

Verk challenges the way the furniture industry traditionally communicates sustainability. Instead of relying on certifications as marketing, they focus on real, documented transparency. Their designs are intentionally timeless – created to last, not to follow short-lived trends.

Documented lower climate impact

To showcase the effect of local production, Verk commissioned an independent Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). The analysis shows that the same chair produced in Sweden has a 70% lower CO₂ footprint than a chair produced in Poland – mainly due to the energy mix and shorter transport distances.
