Handcrafted Japanese wall tapestry (noren) from the renowned weaving studio Nagano Senshoku in Uji, Kyoto.
Made from textile hemp (asa) and hand-dyed using the traditional Yuzen technique, this tapestry offers deep, vibrant colors with beautiful tonal transitions.
The design features a geometric layout in rich red, indigo blue, and natural beige – a modern interpretation rooted in Japanese aesthetics and the spirit of wabi-sabi.
Use it as a room divider, in a doorway, or simply as decorative wall art. This piece is produced in small batches by Madame Nagano, who upholds a strong commitment to traditional craftsmanship and exclusivity. Available exclusively from Studio Hafnia in Denmark.
The tapestry comes complete with a simple round wooden rod for hanging, making it ready to display straight out of the box. As each noren is handmade, minor variations in color and weave may occur – part of its unique, artisanal character.

Care Instructions | As the fabric is hand-dyed, washing is not recommended. If necessary, hand wash very gently and lay flat to dry. Avoid wringing or folding the fabric, as this may leave permanent marks. Once fully dry, it may be carefully steam-ironed.
