Handcrafted Japanese wall tapestry (noren) from the renowned weaving studio Nagano Senshoku in Uji, Kyoto. This elegant noren is made from textile hemp (asa) and hand-dyed using the traditional Yuzen technique, which creates soft color transitions and a natural sense of depth.

The design features vertical stripes in deep navy, dusty blue, charcoal grey, beige, and natural – a harmonious and earthy color palette inspired by the ocean and surrounding landscape. The colors blend seamlessly into one another, giving the piece a lively and calming expression that brings texture and presence to any space.

Use the tapestry as wall decoration, in a doorway, or as a light room divider. It comes complete with a simple round wooden rod for hanging, so it’s ready to be displayed right away.

As each noren is handmade, slight variations in color tone and texture may occur – part of its unique, crafted character and the legacy of traditional Japanese textile work.

Care instructions | As the fabric is hand-dyed, washing is not recommended. If necessary, gently hand wash and lay flat to dry. Do not wring or fold the fabric, as this may leave permanent marks. Once fully dry, it may be carefully steam ironed.
