Christina Iversen Studio

Christina Iversen Studio was founded in 2020 with a desire to create handmade Danish design focused on calm and presence in everyday life. The inspiration stems from the Danish West Coast, where encounters with the sea and nature became the starting point for the brand.

The idea for the first shell cup emerged during a walk along the beach, where a seashell formed the basis of the design language that today defines the collection. Since then, the universe has evolved in collaboration with the experienced ceramicist Dorte Kristoffersen, where craftsmanship and organic shapes go hand in hand.

The collection is created with a focus on both aesthetics and functionality – ceramics that invite you to slow down and create small moments of pause in everyday life.

Christina Iversen Studio draws on the organic shapes of the sea. References to seashells, oysters, and waves recur throughout the design, interpreted in a simple and timeless expression.

Each piece is handmade in collaboration with Dorte Kristoffersen, resulting in subtle variations in shape and glaze. This highlights the craftsmanship behind each piece and gives the ceramics a tactile and lively character.

The colors move within calm, coastal-inspired tones—from light, sandy hues to deeper, more mineral glazes that give each piece depth and variation. This creates a serene and balanced expression that works across table settings and interiors.

At the same time, there is a distinct contrast in the material. The surfaces appear both soft and slightly raw, giving the ceramics character without feeling heavy. This makes each piece suitable for everyday use, while also working beautifully as part of the interior.

The ceramics from Christina Iversen Studio are made to be used—for morning coffee, afternoon tea, or the quiet moments throughout the day when the pace slows down.

The collection includes cups, mugs, and espresso cups that sit naturally in the hand with their organic shapes. Bowls in various sizes are suited for breakfast, snacks, and small servings, while plates and dishes create a calm and cohesive table setting.

Vases and decorative pieces extend the universe beyond pure functionality. The organic forms add a natural sense of movement to a space, while shell-inspired details act as small, sculptural objects.

This is ceramics designed to be both used and displayed—created with a focus on material, form, and a slower approach to everyday life.
