Stillark is a Copenhagen architecture studio focused on the home and everyday life. The studio designs bespoke kitchens from the first sketches to the finished room, guided by simplicity, function and good craftsmanship. The same principles run through Stillark's furniture collection, which grew out of the studio's kitchen work and is made to sit naturally in the home.
Simplicity, function and good craftsmanship
Stillark's design philosophy rests on three principles: simplicity, function and good craftsmanship. You see it in the collection's clean lines, its balanced proportions and its use of honest materials.
The architectural starting point means that a Stillark design is never only about the single piece, but about how it works within the whole. Colours, materials and shapes can be combined across the collection to create a coherent feel throughout the home.
The furniture collection
Stillark's furniture collection shares the design identity and colour palette of the studio's kitchens. Every piece is made to sit naturally in a Stillark interior, yet works just as well on its own.
The collection ranges widely, from freestanding furniture and storage solutions to smaller objects for the home. What they share is a focus on good proportions, function and honest materials.
The Gable Shelf is one example of the collection's flexible storage. It was originally designed as an alternative to wall-mounted kitchen cabinets, but it holds far more than tableware. It works just as naturally for books, stationery, toys or anything else the home needs a place for.
Colour is a central part of Stillark's design language. The same palette runs across furniture and interiors, making it possible to put together combinations of your own.
From architecture to furniture
Stillark's furniture grew out of the studio's architectural work. Years of designing bespoke kitchens shaped an approach to proportion, function and materials that carries straight into the furniture.
In that way the collection continues Stillark's architectural thinking at a smaller scale, with designs meant to work as a natural part of the home. Explore more Danish design and furniture at Studio Hafnia.
