Vintage Murano Baby Mushroom Table Lamp in Pink Swirl Glass | H20 cm
Vintage Murano baby mushroom table lamp in soft pink swirl glass, mouth-blown in Italy in the 1960s or 1970s. The colour is the hard one to find: a warm, peachy pink glow that is far rarer than the white and cream versions, and that only fully reveals itself once the lamp is lit.
Base and shade are blown with the characteristic optical swirl pattern that runs like a soft spiral up through the glass. At 20 cm tall and Ø17 cm it is one of the smallest in the mushroom family - small enough for a bedside table, a bookshelf or a window sill, and still giving the warm, dimmed light that only mouth-blown Murano glass can.
It stands beautifully on its own, but best of all alongside other glass and ceramics in the same soft palette. Lit in the evening it becomes just as much an object as a light source. The lamp takes a small E14 fitting and comes with a new white cord with an inline switch, so it is ready to use.
