Small vintage Murano mushroom table lamp in white swirl glass, mouth-blown in Italy in the 1960s or 1970s. At just 19 cm tall it is one of the smallest in the mushroom family – discreet enough to sit on a bedside table or a windowsill without taking over the room.
The white swirl glass diffuses the light gently and gives a warm, muted glow that is hard to get from a modern lamp. It is as much an object as a light source, and looks beautiful alongside other small pieces of glass and ceramics on a shelf.
The lamp has an E27 socket for standard bulbs and is in good vintage condition with signs of age. Handmade Murano glass may have small variations in shape, pattern and air bubbles – these are not faults, but exactly what makes each lamp unique.
