Vintage Kokeshi Doll No. 232 from Japan – Handmade | H 24 cm
A characterful vintage Kokeshi doll with a tall, slender body and finely painted features.
The face is decorated with arched brows, narrow eyes, and a small, smiling mouth that gives the doll a calm and welcoming expression. The hair is painted in black with red side details, and on the crown of the head a circular motif in black and red adds an elegant touch.
The body is decorated with horizontal painted bands in red, green, violet, and beige, creating a vibrant striped pattern that stands out against the natural wood.
The underside is signed with Japanese characters – an authentic mark of its origin and craftsmanship.
Please note: the doll has a small notch on the body, a natural part of its vintage condition.
