Chair V.DE.04 is a stackable dining chair designed by David Ericsson for Swedish brand Verk. It is a clear example of Ericsson’s unmistakable design language – simple, functional, and ingeniously thought through in every detail.

The chair is crafted exclusively from solid Swedish oak and is available either untreated or treated with natural linseed oil. For added comfort, the chair can be selected with an optional seat cushion made of ecologically tanned Swedish split leather, filled with needle felt made from 100% Swedish wool. The cushion is offered as an add-on and can easily be attached as needed.

Chair V.DE.04 comes with integrated furniture pads made of ecologically tanned Swedish leather, protecting both the chair and the floor. The stackable construction makes the chair particularly suitable for both private homes, cafés, and restaurants, where flexibility and durability are essential.

As David Ericsson himself points out, the amount of time you spend sitting varies: sometimes you just want an espresso, and other times a five-course meal. That is exactly why V.DE.04 is designed to perform equally well for both short and long seating occasions.

Design

The design is minimalist, functional, and well balanced, with clean lines and an honest choice of materials. The chair has a light visual expression while remaining solid in construction and harmonises beautifully with both modern and more classic interiors.
