Bar Stool V.DE.05 is an elegant and thoughtfully designed bar stool created by David Ericsson for Verk. The model is a developed version of V.DE.01 – Ericsson’s first chair for Verk – and combines traditional craftsmanship with a clean, Nordic design language. With its refined proportions and honest materials, it fits naturally into both private homes, cafés, and professional environments.

The bar stool is made in solid Swedish oak or birch and features integrated furniture pads in ecologically tanned Swedish leather from Tärnsjö Garveri. It is available untreated, treated with natural linseed oil, or with Verk’s own carbon black–based surface treatment, which gives the stool a fully matte, graphic, and contemporary expression. Bar Stool V.DE.05 can be chosen in two different seat heights, making it suitable for both kitchen islands and bar counters.

The design has its roots in both the Shaker movement and traditional European ladder-back chairs, yet is clearly shaped by David Ericsson’s own unmistakable design language: simple, functional, and refined. The result is a bar stool that combines comfort, durability, and aesthetics in a timeless design, created for everyday use.
