Hand-blown Murano vase in milky white opaline glass, where the swirl winds in a soft spiral all the way from the base up towards the rim. The white is laid as an inner layer in the glass, which gives the vase a deep, matte glow rather than a clear, see-through surface.
The form is full at the bottom and draws in towards a slightly flared rim. It stands beautifully on its own as a sculptural object and still holds a tall bouquet without tipping. The white opaline glass suits almost anything: bare branches in winter, tulips in spring and dried grasses the rest of the year.
The vase was made on Murano around the 1970s and is in lovely vintage condition with no chips or cracks.

Material | Mouth-blown Murano glass
Care | Hand wash in lukewarm water with a little soap. Avoid the dishwasher and sudden changes in temperature, which older glass does not tolerate.
Because the glass is blown by hand, you may find small air bubbles and slight variation in pattern and wall thickness. That is characteristic of genuine Murano and not a flaw.
