A rare and charming vintage Kokeshi doll with a classic hourglass-shaped body and a distinctive painted hat that sets it apart from most traditional designs.
The face is delicately painted with arched brows, narrow eyes, and a small mouth, creating a calm and friendly look. Black hair is marked at the sides of the face, while the flat, round hat on top is decorated in warm red and orange stripes, adding a playful and decorative accent.
The body is adorned with colorful horizontal bands in red, green, purple, and beige, forming a lively striped pattern that contrasts beautifully with the natural wood.
The base is signed with Japanese characters – a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship.
