Marlon from Aiayu is a soft and elegant woven rug in a classic checkered pattern. The rug is made in a "warp and weft" weave in deep colours, with raw edges and decorative, brushed fringes. The blanket is made of soft, exclusive baby llama wool that is both warm, durable and breathable. The blanket/plaid is incredibly beautiful to use on the sofa or as a bedspread.

The wool is sourced & processed locally in Bolivia at a WRAP-certified factory, which cleans and recycles waste water, and runs exclusively on renewable energy. Baby llama wool is both soft, durable, hypo-allergenic and thermoregulating. A true wonder from nature.

Care | Laundry is a major environmental burden, and it is far from necessary to wash often. Llama wool is self-cleaning and requires far less maintenance than other materials. In most cases, airing a wool product is enough to achieve a fresh smell and feel. If you still need to wash your wool product, we recommend hand washing at 30 degrees with a high-quality wool detergent. Soak the product in water for 10-15 minutes. Rinse in 30 degree lukewarm water. Avoid twisting the product and make sure it lies flat when it needs to dry. If you have a washing machine with a gentle programme, it is possible to wash your Aiayu product in the machine. However, this is at your own risk, as we cannot guarantee the individual wash programs on different washing machines.

Aiayu is a Copenhagen-based brand founded in 2005 by designer Maria Høgh Heilmann and CEO Maria Glæsel. The name means “soul” in the Bolivian Aymará language, reflecting Aiayu’s core values of responsibility, timeless design, and natural materials.
