Duralex plates in tempered glass

Duralex has made tempered glassware in France since 1945, and the plates are still the ones you meet in French bistros — precisely because they can take it. The glass is heat-treated, so it handles the dishwasher, the microwave and the freezer, and it is considerably more resistant to knocks and temperature changes than ordinary glass.

Beau Rivage in blue glass

Beau Rivage Marine is the blue series with the fine, ribbed rim. We carry it as a plate in 23.5 cm and 19.5 cm and as a deep soup and pasta plate in 21.5 cm — along with bowls in 12, 18 and 22.5 cm and a cup and saucer of 180 ml, so the series reaches all the way from breakfast to dessert.

Paris in clear glass

The Paris series is the clear, entirely plain version: dinner plate in 23 and 26 cm and lunch/dessert plate in 20.5 cm. The clear glass lets the food take centre stage, and the plates stack tightly, which makes them easy to keep in a small kitchen.

How to use them

Duralex is food-safe and made for daily use. Mix the blue and the clear glass, or place the clear Paris plates under coloured ceramics so the pattern comes forward. The bowls work just as well for breakfast as for serving side dishes.
