Handmade hemp wall hanging (noren) crafted by the historic Japanese weaving studio Nagano Senshoku in Kyoto Prefecture.
This piece is dyed in deep bordeaux and beige tones and features the classic half circle motif – a calm, harmonious form traditionally symbolizing balance and renewal. The warm colors combined with the natural hemp texture create an elegant and timeless expression.
The textile is hand-dyed using the traditional Yuzen technique, giving it a rich depth of color and a beautifully organic finish. The wall hanging can be used as a room divider, in doorways, or simply as decorative wall art. It comes with a wooden hanging rod, ready to display straight away.
Each piece is handmade in small batches by Madame Nagano, who maintains an exceptional level of craftsmanship to ensure an authentic and exclusive result. Slight variations in color and texture may occur – a natural part of its hand-crafted character.
