This vintage Kokeshi doll from Japan measures 24 cm and features a strikingly colorful and graphic design. The slender wooden body is decorated with large, stylized flowers in shades of yellow, orange, red, and purple, along with green leaves and bold black brushstrokes. Red and purple bands at the top and bottom frame the body with a balanced, ornamental finish.
The head is painted with black hair and defined bangs, accented by red flowers at the sides. The facial features are minimal and elegant: long narrow eyes, thin brows, and a small red mouth – executed in a distinctly stylized manner.
