Handmade Horezu Bowl | No. 13 | Ø 17 cm
Beautiful hand-painted ceramic bowl from the Romanian town of Horezu – world-renowned for its unique ceramic tradition, recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The bowl is wheel-thrown and hand-painted by local masters, making each piece truly one of a kind. Each one is also subtly engraved with the Studio Hafnia logo on the side as a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. Small variations in color and pattern are part of the charm and a testament to authentic craftsmanship.
This bowl is decorated using the classic Horezu technique, where multiple layers of color are applied to create a vibrant, characteristic pattern. The simple blue-and-white design gives it a timeless expression, perfectly suited for both modern and classic interiors.
The bowl is fully glazed with a smooth, glossy finish, making it suitable for serving food, but also as a decorative accent in the home – on the dining table, in the kitchen, or as a unique handcrafted piece on display.
After shaping, the bowl is first fired at 850–950°C, then glazed with a water-based glaze and fired again at 1000–1100°C, ensuring both durability and brilliance.
