Handmade Horezu Bowl | No. 12 | Ø17 cm
Unique hand-painted ceramic bowl from the Romanian town of Horezu – internationally renowned for its ceramic tradition, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The bowl is hand-thrown and decorated by local artisans, making each piece truly one of a kind. Each one is also subtly engraved with the Studio Hafnia logo on the side as a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. Small variations in pattern and color are part of the charm and a testament to genuine craftsmanship.
The design is executed in the classic Horezu technique, where multiple layers of color are combined to create a radiant pattern. The deep blue, red, and earthy tones highlight the bowl’s characteristic expression.
Glazed all around with a glossy surface, the bowl is suitable both for serving food and as a decorative element in the home – on the dining table, in the kitchen, or as a striking detail on a shelf.
After shaping, the bowl is first fired at 850–950°C, then glazed with a water-based glaze and fired again at 1000–1100°C, giving it both strength and shine.
This bowl is also available in a larger size.
