Beautiful and decorative ceramic bowl from the Romanian town of Horezu – renowned for its unique pottery, which is listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The bowl is wheel-thrown and hand-painted by skilled local artisans, giving each piece its own unique character. Each one is also subtly engraved with the Studio Hafnia logo on the side as a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. No two bowls are exactly alike, and slight variations in color and pattern are part of its charm.

The bowl features a striking geometric pattern in green, cream, pink and black, with the warm terracotta color of the clay visible on the outside. It is fully glazed for a smooth, glossy surface.

Food safe, the bowl can be used for serving at the table, but it is equally beautiful as a decorative accent in your home – on a dining table, shelf, or for storing jewelry and other small treasures.

Once shaped, the bowl is decorated using the traditional Horezu technique, where several layers of paint are applied to create the characteristic patterns. It is first fired at 850–950°C, then coated with a water-based glaze and fired again at 1000–1100°C.
